In the mail yesterday, from Deb Taft and Ethan Ravage:
May is quickly approaching and with it our 25th Reunion at Exeter. We’ve appreciated your ideas for the weekend, and a diverse schedule of events is planned. Early attendance indications are strong. We hope you are able to join us.
As a class we have one piece of business to conduct at the 25th Reunion, namely the election of new class officers. These officers, class president and vice president, will take office at the reunion and serve for a five-year term. They also will appoint other classmates to the remaining class volunteer roles (class correspondent, class page editor, class agents, and planned giving chair). Speaking from experience, we both can assure you that serving in these capacities is fun and rewarding, and a great way to keep up with classmates — the workload is manageable and worthwhile.
We invite any classmate who may be interested in being nominated, or who wishes to nominate another classmate to any position, to contact either of us. We would be delighted to discuss with you the responsibilities involved and/or to answer any questions. We would also love to hear from anyone who is interested in helping out with the class in any other way. Please don’t hesitate to engage in the conversation with us, as it is important to have leaders who represent the full breadth and depth of our class.
Also, would you please email or call us with your suggestions for Honorary classmates? Honorary classmates are former or current members of the faculty or staff who are favorites of the class. The current Class of 1980 Honorary classmates are: Lynda Beck, Bud James, and Dudley Taft.
We encourage all of you to consider volunteering your time, and we thank you for all your support thus far. Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you in Exeter May 6-8!
